Help

Everything you need to get a client's first report out. Stuck on something that isn't here? Write to support@wrapline.app.

Your first report

  1. Add a client. Enter their name, website and who should receive the report. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
  2. Connect their data. Link the Google account that can open their Analytics and Search Console, then choose their property and site.
  3. Build the report. Pick a month or a quarter. Wrapline reads the numbers and writes the summary.
  4. Check it and send it. Edit anything you like, then send it or copy the link.

Want to look around first? Choose Use demo data on a client's page. Demo numbers are made up and are labelled that way.

Connecting Google

Access is read-only. Wrapline can read figures but can't change anything in your Google accounts.

My client's site isn't in the list

Google only lists what the signed-in Google account can open. Check these in order:

  • Wrong account. On the Connect Google page, choose Link another Google account and pick the one that has the site.
  • Your client hasn't given you access. See below.
  • The site isn't in Search Console yet. Add and verify it at Search Console, then reload the Connect Google page.

Getting access from a client

Send your client these steps, using the Google account you link to Wrapline:

  • Google Analytics: Admin, then Property access management, then add your email as a Viewer.
  • Search Console: Settings, then Users and permissions, then Add user, with Restricted permission.

Wrapline selected a property for me

If one property clearly matches the client's name or website, Wrapline selects it for you to check. If none does, or two match equally, you choose. Take care with this step, because the wrong property puts another site's numbers in the report.

Google shows a warning or blocks the sign-in

Write to support@wrapline.app with the email address you used, and we'll sort it out.

Building and sending reports

A section is missing from my report

A source with no figures for that period is left out, and Wrapline tells you why. Check that the property has data for the month you chose, and that you haven't hidden the section in the client's settings.

Changing a report

A draft can be edited or rebuilt, and its link stays the same. Rebuilding keeps your note for that month. Approving or sending locks the numbers and wording.

Monthly drafts

On the day you set for each client, Wrapline builds last month's draft and sends you one email listing what's ready. Clients set to send automatically are emailed straight away, so leave that off if you want to check every report first.

Quarterly reviews

Choose a quarter from the same list as the months. Quarters are only built when you ask for one.

Your account and data

  • Disconnect Google: go to Branding in the menu, or remove Wrapline at your Google account's permissions page.
  • Change your plan: go to Plan in the menu.
  • Delete your account: go to Branding in the menu. This removes your clients and reports.
